Mystery Ads Playing

For some reason, I have multiple ads playing (they play over one another) as soon as my computer boots up but haven't accessed the internet. It just started happening out of the blue (apparently) this afternoon. They come through my speakers but cannot see them on the screen. I do have cable internet so I do realize I am connected to the internet even though I had not clicked on the internet browser. The ads are repetitive so I figure I must be connected to some website(s) but I'm not sure what they are or where they came from. I tried running a couple of virus scans and found some trojans and cleaned them from my system but the ads persist. Can anyone tell me what might be going on and how I can fix the problem?

• Double-click aswMBR.exe to run (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
• Select No when asked "Would you like to download latest Avast! virus definitions?"
• Click the [Scan] button.
• On completion of the scan click [Save log], save it to your desktop and attach this log to your next message. (How to attach)
