PC, Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Issue: MSE noted the alureon.a trojan and was unable to completely clean up the trojan. Now I can't start any programs whatsoever. Any application I try to open does nothing.

I've downloaded TDSSKiller, renamed it, and tried to run it but it too will not run. The only things I can run is MSE, CCleaner, Notepad, Windows Explorer, and a few other things. I cannot run any other applications.

I was able to run FRST64.exe and I've attached the txt file.

Please help. I'm out of my wits at this point.

    Welcome to MajorGeeks, nmw407 :)

    FRST64 was run incorrectly.

Try the following first: HitmanPro - How to scan and obtain a log

If HitmanPro doesn't open even after using its Force-Breach mode, let me know and then try the following:

I ended up using the Kaspersky Rescue Disk that was mentioned in another thread. Ran it and it detected and deleted the trojan.

    Thanks for the help.
