    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Goto the below link and follow the instructions for running TDSSKiller from Kaspersky
Now please also download MBRCheck to your desktop.

See the download links under this icon http://forums.majorgeeks.com/chaslang/images/MGDownloadLoc.gif
    • Double click MBRCheck.exe to run (vista and Win 7 right click and select Run as Administrator)
    • It will show a Black screen with some information that will contain either the below line if no problem is found:
      • Done! Press ENTER to exit...
    • Or you will see more information like below if a problem is found:
      • Found non-standard or infected MBR.
      • Enter 'Y' and hit ENTER for more options, or 'N' to exit:
    • Either way, just choose to exit the program at this point since we want to see only the scan results to begin with.
    • MBRCheck will create a log named similar to MBRCheck_07.16.10_00.32.33.txt which is random based on date and time.
    • Attach this log to your next message. (See: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post )

After attaching the above two logs, immediately continue on with the below.

We cannot guarantee you that the act of removing malware will not cause problems. Sometimes it can. But what the malware is already doing to your PC is already a problem otherwise you would not be here. What we are attempting to do is help you find and remove any malware that may exist. So you have a few choices:
    1. Follow our instructions in order to help us to help you fix your problems.
    2. Format your hard disk and reinstall from scratch hoping that you don't have the kind of infection that will survive a format.
    3. Or don't follow our instructions and live with any malware problems you may be having.

It is in the instructions given to you already. Blue underlined text are links that you need to click on.

The instructions say to download and save the files onto your PC. You will then run them in another step. Just read the instructions in the links given and follow them as written.

Yes it is and it is clean, but you need to keep going and you need to follow instructions in the order written. You should have run TDSSkiller first. Click the blue link and follow the instructions. After running it and attaching the log. You need to continue on with the READ & RUN ME FIRST instructions.

how or where do i get to firefox

You don't need Firefox. What you need to do is finish following the instructions I gave you in my first message. You ran TDSSkiller and you ran MBRcheck but not the below which was at the end of my first message.

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

Until you do this and attach the logs that are requested in it, we cannot help you any further. It is quite simple, if you don't follow our instructions, we cannot help you. You can forget about the link to Fixing Google Redirection/hijacking and other redirection problems that thisisu gave you. You already ran the parts of it with MBRCheck and TDSSkiller. Run the READ & RUN ME FIRST now.

how important is it to back up the system first befor i take theses steps

At the beginning of the READ & RUN ME, the below was stated
Basically it is always a good idea to have your important data backed up even if not doing malware removal. Hard disks can fail at any time. Windows can crash at any time. About 98% of the time, there are no problems incurred by running the READ & RUN ME instructions, but as stated above, we cannot guarantee that and malware is always changing and causing unpredictable results. If you don't want to back up your data first then that is a risk you take.

But also note that if you do have any of the new forms of type of TDL infections, your PC could also become unbootable at any point in time and then your data would still be inaccessible. Hence the reason you need to backup what is important to you and what does not exist somewhere else. You can always redownload programs you have installed. You cannot redownload you own personal data, pictures,.....etc from the internet.
