I want to burn a movie off Limewire i downloaded. I have software that does burn. I heard i might need something called dvd encrypter and dvd shrink. I dont know alot about this, it is new to me. Any suggestions? My software that come with my Dell computer is called Sonic.

Sonic is garbage (IMHO). There are many quality burning apps available for FREE here at Major Geeks; I'll provide links below. As to burning movies: if they are in AVI format, you must convert them to a DVD compliant standard if you want to watch 'em on your home DVD player and TV. There are many paid programs that do this, and some good free ones. I posted all this info in another thread here at Major Geeks. Click here to read the thread and get links... and here's some free burning applications:
AShampoo Burning Studio 6 (probably the most complete free burning tool available)
BurnAware (easy to use; lots of features)
    CDBurnerXP (a long time favorite)
Many, many more can be found in the Major Geeks Back-Up downloads section.
    I hope this helps! :-D

    Hi,

I am trying to do the same and I am having a hard time with this. Did you get this figured out? If you did, how? Thanks in advance.

    Sweet,

If its a .iso or .img file than dvd decrypter would be my favorite software to use.

@ hegemon875: it's usually best to start your own thread, and I'd assume the original thread starter was successful 'cuz he didn't keep this thread going. Read the thread I linked to above; it pretty much tells you everything you need to know. ;)

If you have more questions after reading that thread, start a new thread and we'll do our best to help.

:innocent OOOOPS! I meant to direct this statement to sweetkoko and not to hegemon875. Sorry. My bad. And if it's any type of image file, then I'd strongly recommend burning the file using the excellent and free ImgBurn. It will burn just about any type of image file to both CD and DVD (including dual layer DVD9 and BluRay too) and supports just about every drive currently manufactured.
    :-D
