Not sure where to put this

Sorry. This is a bit of a multi-catagory question.

After having my idiot brother come over, I realized that my school computer no longer operated. Upon starting it, the system blips what I believe is the Blue screen of Death. I managed to get it running in safe mode, and ran MBAM and CCleaner (PandaCloud wouldn't work) in an attempt to fix it. Even after removing 'all' of the malware, and cleaning the registry, I am still presented with the blue screen when I turn the computer on.

I'm not exactly the most computer suave person, but I know not to download illegal shows and movies, and I suspect thats exactly what happened. He crashes his computer every other day doing that crap. I realize you guys don't love helping with issues caused by illegal downloading, but I absolutely need this computer to work for school.

I can't come up with any other ideas except putting the files and programs I wish to keep on disks and doing a system restore, but the system restore gives me the bsod too! Is something wrong with the computer or should I start another operating system? Currently the computer has Vista home premium 32 bit, but I only have a disk for windows 7 64 bit.

Would I be able to even install something with twice as much bit? Or does it rely on hardware? What kind of hardware would I need?

At this point if you guys could supply me with ANY answer to get this computer up and running, I'll take it.

We cannot be sure that all of the malware was indeed removed until you run our malware removal procedures which I shall link to below for reference:

Attach the requested logs once done, either from working in normal mode if at all possible and if not then in safe mode.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Pleases follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

    What is catchme.sys?

And where do I find the logs I need to send?

Why do you say Catchme.sys is on you system? Are you seeing it in a log? Don't confuse it with C:\WINDOWS\catchme.exe which is part of GMER and is used with ComboFix.

The Read and Run me first procedures explain all this very clearly. Have you run all of the requested tools?

Can't run normal, so started in safemode.
    Pandacloud won't work.
    Default firewall.
Won't allow removal of Sunjava. The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support professional for assistance.
    Quarantine empty
    Can't find the recycling bin?
    Ran CCleaner.
    32 bit.
    Hidden files... unhidden.
    msconfig is in normal.
No bad programs (from your list)

SUPERantispyware could not be installed. Windows installer service.

Look, I'm having so much trouble figuring this stuff out... I have NO clue where those logs are.

    MBAM:
    C:\Users\insert your user account name\AppData\Roaming\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs

    Combofix:
    C:\combofix.txt

    MGTools:
    C:\MGlogs.zip

I know you were unsuccessful with running SAS but we can deal with that later, for now I want to know exactly what all you WERE able to run, and attach what logs you have from running them in your next reply here.
