Notepadx: Opening W/ Text File From Batch File?

I have NotepadX on a Win11/64 laptop and have a batch file that opens a text file in NotepadX. Now, NotepadX opens successfully but not the target text file. How do I open a specific text file from within NotepadX from a batch file?

 

What I read: you want to open a bat file in notepadx when a batch file runs?
What code your code look like?
With notepad it looks like
start notepad "{path}\my.bat"
Maybe notepadx doesn't accept parameters?

 

No. I want to open a text file when a batch file runs. It must accept parameters because, when I point to Open With and select NotepadX, it opens the file.

I already know where it is on my SSD drive. I just need to get it to open a specific file on start-up.

 

Yes I told you where it is and I also told you in regards to "Uhh...NotepadX won't open with the desired text file when fed it with the file on the command line from a batch file. How do I do that?"

NotepadX does not take command line parameters.

Have a look at Notepads. Simple tabbed interface, opens files from command line.

I downloaded it a while ago. Thank you. BTW, where is Notepads.exe on my computer? I don't seem to find it on the install screens.

 

Not answering your question, but if you have difficulty finding stuff in your computer, download Everything! Whatever file, if it's there, this app will find it - lightning fast too.
