I have numerous saved htm files for work which are infected, cleaned by McAfee VE and then reinfected. WIll attempt your solutions but wanted to know if there is anyway to back these up? If I burn to CD non-rewritable will they still be able to jump to another drive?

As we have many other files of value, including videos of varied formats, pictures etc is there anyplace with a list of affected file extensions? If a file type itself is not affected would it be safe to email it or upload to other servers?

    Thank you for your help.

Attempts to download malwarebytes are failing as the site is not recognized. ANy suggestions on where to find this program would be appreciated.

You can try doing an eSet scan, which will numerate which files are infected. From that, you may be able to backup to cd those not yet affected.

    eSet Online Scan.
