I appear to be in a very similar situation to that of the poster here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=262956

in fact, the exact same symptoms. I've found a few apps and text/log files that are randomly named.

Is anyone able to help me out? I'm at a total loss with this...

Thanks for the quick reply. Frustratingly, on the machine in question, I'm getting a 404 whenever I try to get to that page in both Firefox and IE (other pages work fine).

Do you have any other advice?

 

Apologies for double posting. I managed to get the executable downloaded on a different machine and transferred to the infected computer: have now run it, here is the log.
