    Hello Majorgeeks,

Just 2 days ago i decided to run my avast scanner along with the read and run me first instructions just to check and see if i am infected in any way. The avast scan turned out clean but to my surprise malwarebytes anti malware wouldnt run, i tried to run it in safe mode, quickscan, fullscan, changing the file name of the installer, the file name of the directory and the file name of all the .exe files in the mbam directory but to no avail, it keeps crashing and stopping in a certain file called VEN2232.OLB at quickscan and at a desktop theme word file of mine at fullscan. The rest runs without problems.

Now i thought some more scans wouldnt hurt so i ran spybot search and destroy and eset online scanner, spybot snd turned up clean but the eset online scanner found 1 more, at this point i thought it would be best to have my logs checked here because im currently clueless as to what to do next, malwarebytes usually works for me so i thought it could be a sign of an infection of sorts.

Attached are the logs requested minus the mbam log (because its still not working) and unfortunately i wasnt able to include the eset logs too as i uninstalled and reinstalled it for a second scan.

I always read through this forums whenever i have spare time and i have always been amazed by you guys, thanks for your assistance and i hope its not too much trouble. :)

Can I assume that you created this file: C:\ohlololol ?

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Now copy just the bold text below to notepad (Do not include any space above the word REGEDIT). Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

Now use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\WINDOWS\Domino.exe

Tell me what issues you may still be having, if any.

the problem still remains with malwarebytes however, still isnt able to finish a full scan and stops at the same files

Have you tried uninstalling it? Are you getting any error messages when you run it? If you uninstall, be sure to run CCleaner before you download and reinstall it.

I did what you instructed me to do and sadly malwarebytes still cannot finish the scan. The error window that im getting is "malwarebytes anti malware has encountered a problem and needs to close".

I am not sure this is a malware issue, as opposed to a software one. Let's have you do an online scan>

    eSet Online Scan.

well thats a possibility, just wanted to make sure its not because of any infection of sorts before assuming its a software problem :D

did the online eset scan as requested and it found 5 infections, malwarebytes still stops at scan though :(

All it found was items in your system restore folders. That will be removed when we toggle system restore.

You may need to check the MBAM forums for any suggestions as to why it can't finish a scan. You can check their forums HERE.

What other issues are you still having, if any?

    You are most welcome.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real time protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.We recommend them for doing backup scans when you suspect a malware infection.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.

    3. Go back to step 6 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    6. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    7. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    8. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 7 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

    10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
