Sound issues

Hi Everyone, I have an Emachine T5048 with some problems. I had to wipe the drive because of a problem that couldn't be fixed. Now I can't get the on board sound card to work (yes, I checked the BIOS) and also have yellow question marks in the device manager. They include the following: PCI Device, PCI Simple Communications Controller ( I use cable), SM Bus Controller, Video Controller(VGA compatible). I have done all the window updates as well. The drivers on Emachine site don't help. Amy help would be greatly appreciated. I'm getting very frustrated! :banghead Thanks

I have this exact problem. I did go to the emachines website, put in model number and I though great all the drivers. Wow was I wrong. I downloaded them in the order that was mentioned above but none of them worked. They would download, unzip them and for every single one I would get an error message in the middle saying "Device object not present. Restart and run again." I cannot tell you how many times I have restarted this comp. today. Pls send advice I'd really like to get rid of those yellow question marks in device manager and most importantly have sound.
