im getting messages from windows that i've gotten a virus and it has automatically installed Spy Sheriff, but I've researched on how to remove it, but i was told not to use it, and uninstall it instead....

Ive done AdAware SE Personal and Spybot - Search and Destroy, but it still says I have it.

Im new to the forums and I think there are rules on how to post Hijack This Logs? I don't have much time, because im on the computer that has the virus and need to unplugg it from the network before it spreads.. please help =[

Welcome to MajorGeeks.com, please follow the steps below:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread SpySheriff (aka SpywareNo) Removal

    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gifAfter doing ALL of the above and you still have a problem, make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below thread to properly use HijackThis and attach the log:

Okay, i got SpySheriff removed, but im still getting another program called "Spyware Strike" and it seems to automatically re-install after i remove it... idk if the "infection" is doing this or not, but its making me mad b/c it tells me to buy a license to use it after its done seaching

i still get a "bubble" message (similar to the ones when theres an XP update to install) saying "System Intrusion Detected...."

im new to the forums and read on how to attach logs, tell me if i did it wrong or not =]

First, please go back and run this part of the READ ME.

After you complete the online scans listed above, procede with the below and attach the 2 logs from above, the Ewido log with a fresh HJT log.

Please see the below thread on how to install and run Ewido Security Suite.
