    Alright, first off I am running on Windows 7 64bit. Running Avast Free Anti-Virus.

    Earlier today I got a virus after being dumb and downloading a .exe and running it. I ran Malwarebytes on the .exe before running. Though it still infected my computer with a virus. My Avast caught it but not fast enough apparently.

    After Avast ran through its thing I grabbed rkill.exe which now doesn't want to work. It will cascade Failed boxes and open iexplorer.exe process over and over. I got rkill.exe to run and came up with two processes. (Which now I can't see because I have another problem) I get a error when running rkill.exe "C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Temp\RarSFX11" folder is not accessible.

    I have checked into MBRChecks and Bootkit Remover.

    Bookit remover shows this;

    Bootkit Remover

    Program version: 1.2.0.0
    OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (build 7600), 64-bit

    System volume is \\.\C
    \\.\C: -> \\.\PhysicalDrive0 at offset 0x00000004`46500000
    Boot sector MD5 is: 08c6d97449fb1d8bcab9d003ed787166

    Size Device Name MBR Status
    ----------------------------------------------
    931 GB \\.\PhysicalDrive0 Unkown boot code

    Uknown boot code has been found on some of your physical disks.
    To inspect the boot code manually, dump the master boot sector:
    remover.exe dump <device_name> [output_file]
    To disinfect the master boot sector, use the following command:
    remover.exe fix <device_name>

    Done:
    Press any key to quit...

    I tried running the fix:
    "%userprofile%\Desktop\remover.exe" fix \\.\PhysicalDrive0

    and got this:

    Bootkit Remover
    (c) 2009 eSage Lab
    www.esagelab.com

    Program version: 1.2.0.0
    OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (Build 7600), 64-bit

    System volume is \\.\C
    \\.\C -> \\.\PhysicalDrive0 at offset 0x00000004`46500000
    Restoring boot code at \\.\PhysicalDrive0...
    ATA_Write(): DeviceIoControl() ERROR 1
    ERROR: Can't write first sector of the disk.

    Done:
    Press any key to quit...

    So after that I looked around on majorgeeks.com and computing.net and came across a post that said to download TDSS and run it. I ran it from desktop and it didn't come up with anything.

    The MBR Check came up with this:

    \\.\C: --> \\.\PhysicalDrive0 at offset 0x00000004`46500000 (NTFS)

    PhysicalDrive0 Model Number: HitachiHDT721010SLA360, Rev: ST6OA31B

    Size Device Name MBR Status
    --------------------------------------------
    931 GB \\.\PhysicalDrive0 Acer MBR code detected
    SHA1: 3183CBF02DD9B39C5FF84F50BA2419D633E30179

    I am sooo lost at this point I don't know what to do...

    EDIT:
    I ran Hitman Pro and it found viruses and "Deleted" them. I am running another Malwarebytes again to see if there is anything but I believe its deeper then that =/.

    Welcome to MajorGeeks, Zenko

    Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

    Please follow the instructions in the below link:

    READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

    and then attach the requested logs to your next reply when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.
    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes, you could use a flash drive too, but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
    * Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated - our system works the oldest threads FIRST.
