I have five Windows updates (KB2892075, KB2926765, KB2943344, KB2976627, KB2981580) that repeatedly fail to install, giving the error code 80070643.

I have tried running the Microsoft Fixit solution for the error code but it doesn't solve the problem.

I have run through all three steps of this solution:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/KB976982

The final step of the above link involves uninstalling and reinstalling the .NET Framwork (whatever that is). After I had reinstalled it, Microsoft updates found some .NET updates, which all installed OK.

However, the updates that were previously failing still fail to install, giving the same error code 80070643.

I am running Vista Home Premium on an Asus X50N
    Processor: AMD Turion 64 MK-38 2.2GHz
    2GB RAM
    32-bit OS

I want to be sure that I have not got a malware infection that is preventing the Windows Updates from installing. I have completed the Vista, Win 7 and Win 8 Malware Removal/Cleaning Procedure (http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=139681) and I attach my logs.

Please will some kind expert advise whether I have a malware problem and what I should do next?

    Thanks in advance!

Your logs are all clean. I suggest that you now post in the Software Forum for non-malware problems.

Also you should complete the below to cleanup from the READ & RUN ME.

Since you are not having malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
