1 Have Virtumonde virus
2 Followed all your basic procedures in "READ & RUN ME FIRST" up to cleaning windows XP
3 Can't get anything to download as keeps redirecting to another website or "page load error" So I can't do the rest yet.
4 here is a copy of HJT log file
5 Please tell me what to do to get the rest of the basic stuff done to
completely get rid of Virtumonde.

The easiest thing to do is either take a thumb drive or a CD to another machine. Download the files in the read me to that media and install them on the infected machine that way.

I have the notes on my computer, but how do I make them work. What are the steps that need to be taken. My c drive is gone and I need instruction please.

Read very carefully, it explains everything.

Please follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST link given further down and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.

TDSSserv Non-Plug & Play Driver Disable

If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.

Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

Helpful Notes:

If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in Safe Mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

Starting your computer in Safe mode

If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:

Don't Bump! It Only Hurts You!

Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

1. I HAVE followed all your basic procedures in "READ & RUN ME FIRST" up to cleaning windows XP
2. Can't get anything to download as keeps redirecting my machine to another website or "page load error" So I can't do the rest yet. Have done ALL the items requested that I am allowed to do on infected machine.
3. So I supplied a copy of HJT log file
4. You instructed me to "take a thumb drive or a CD to another machine. Download the files in the read me to that media and install them on the infected machine that way."
5. I now HAVE the files YOU SUPPLIED TO ME on a thumb drive as a read me file, HOW DO I INSTALL THEM ??? on the infected machine? I need help with that, that's what I don't understand.:confused

You need to download the programs/tools from a uninfected computer and copy them onto the infected computer. Once copied, you should have already renamed the files as stated in the READ ME. Just install the programs as you would any program. Be sure you download the updates for SAS & MBAM.

Like I stated before, if you will take the time to read carefully every step in the READ ME it will explain everything.
