Help PC issue

    Please I have been having a problem with my pc.
    Its been overheating
    My computer spec is Vista, CPU- Core 2 Duo, 4 GB memory
    Im posting a hjt log...
    Please let me know if this is not a right place to post it. where can I post???

    Is this a desktop or laptop?
    What is make and model of PC?

    What issues are you having relating to overheating as this could be due to the components inside your PC being dusty?

    Are the overheating issues random or happen after a specific time period of using the PC say 30mins or 2hrs etc, does the issue happen when using a specific game or software, if so what?

    What are the temps you are getting after say 30mins of PC time, and this can help get them install Everest and click Computer then Sensor and tell us what the CPU, Motherboard, GPU and HDD drives temps if listed.



    Are you having crashes or BSODs, if so do any have error messages, does your PC just shutdown and restart?



    While there where a few things in yoru HJT log, a Hijackthis is overused and does nto always show any issues relating to what your overheating issue would be, to get a full check on if you have malware thats causing this then you would have to follow the below and post a new thread in the Malware part of this forum and attach the logs requested, so if you believe this is malware related follow the below and post as mentioned a bit earlier a new thread in the Malware forum and mention what issues your having and attach the logs, if you are deemed clean from malware then repost in this thread and we can check other things,


    Are you suffering any of the below?
    • Is boot up slow?
    • Is shutdown slow?
    • Is browsing/surfing slow?
    • Is it popups? if so do they have a name.
    • Is your browser being re-directed to a less welcome site?
    • Does your Anti-Virus software alert you to a Virus/Trojan? if so whats its name.
    • Is downloading slow?
    • Is it also slow in safe boot mode?
    • Also are any process showing in Task Manager to be using a lot of CPU time?
    • Anything else slow?



    Please follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST link given futher down and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
    Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.
