I need Help!

Hi, I need someones help. I am not very good when in comes to the internal of computers. I am having this red shield with a white x inside of it pop up on my start up bar. It keeps telling me that I have a security problem, and I am also getting constant pop ups that are telling me to install a virus removal program. The thing is, I already have one, I have Mcafee. I don;t understand what is going on, can someone help me and tell me how I can get fix this. I already tried running a scan, and it is telling me that there is nothing there. I also tried restoring my PC to a previous date, that also didn't work.

I need some help

Hey everyone My name is Jen. I am having a problem with my computer and am not the greatest when it comes to the internal stuff. I am having this red shield with a white x in the inside of it pop up in my start up bar, and it keeps telling me that I have a security problem, and that I need to install a virus remover, but I already have one. Though its not the greatest, it's McAfee. I also keep getting these pop ups telling me to download this program called virus remover 2009. I already ran a scan on my PC and also tried restoring to a previous date, but I can't get rid of it. Can anyone help me out?

Still no help

It's me again guys, just hoping someone could help me with this darn annoying problem. Can not stand the pop ups anymore. Why didn't my virus protector block any of this? I don't understand....UGH!

I seriously need to get this fixed ASAP. I start back to college on Monday and the pop ups and such are going to create a problem when I am trying to do my work online.

You have started 3 malware threads and I have merged them back together. This is spamming the forum and will not get you help any faster. We work oldest thread to newest as in; we are currently working our way forward from page 11.

If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.

TDSSserv Non-Plug & Play Driver Disable

If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.

Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

Helpful Notes:

If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

Starting your computer in Safe mode

If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

To avoid addtional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advise that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky Don't Bump! It Only Hurts You!!!. Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.
