Ms Antispyware 2009 & Unknown IE Hijack

Hello. I first noticed an infection when I made the mistake of granting reg key change instead of deny it on the "spybot s&d resident"

as soon as i accept this, ms anitspyware 2009 loaded and began to wreak havok. I did not have any new virus definitions installed on my norton anti virus 2006, but all other malware agents on my computer were up to date.

i tried to open spy bot s&d, but it would not open. firefox would not even go to google, but all other web pages were ok. i could search for anything at msn.com, however anything with the word virus or any of the online scan pages or even majorgeeks.com, when placed into the search field and after pressing enter would close down my browser!

I tried to enter safe mode, however the drivers would just list that they were loading and then computer would freeze. after opening up the computer, i downloaded the latest virus update for noton from this site and also avg and ran a scan. the scan only made it to 30% before blue screen error.

anyways, it cleaned enough to work and to browse, and norton did its thing and then i followed the malware removal instructions before posting this... but there is still a hijack on my ie explorer.

when i open msn messenger live, i usually access my hotmail by pressing the mail icon. it takes me to my mail. but when i click on to a message it redirects me to this website...

can anyone help me get clean... i use this computer for djing and i have a party this weekend.

I have uploaded scan reports for your viewing. If there is anything i missed in your tutorial I apologize, kindly let me know and I will redo that portion.

Please follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST link given futher down and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.

TDSSserv Non-Plug & Play Driver Disable

If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.

Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

Helpful Notes:

If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

Starting your computer in Safe mode

If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

To avoid addtional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advise that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky Don't Bump! It Only Hurts You!!!. Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.
