My computer is infected and i cant get rid of it.

    Yesterday i went to the bathroom leaving the internet explorer browser on, im not sure what site. when i came back i saw Norton Anti Virus doing something and im like... i dont haven norton so i closed it. now today. my internet explorer wont start but my google chrome and firefox are workign fine. i tried system restore and after i click "next" it wont go any further. also i used macafee to quarantine 4 unprotected things. then my internet explorer started working. after a lot of files were scanned everything froze and i restarted my computer. i tried internet explorer and it didnt work. then i tried system restore again and it worked. i was so happy, but then when the pop up came it said Restore Fail.

    i have no idea what it is please help me.:confused

    IE problems and Malware.

    Please follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST link given futher down and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    • If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

    Helpful Notes:


    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. To avoid addtional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advise that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky Don't Bump! It Only Hurts You!!!. Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

    Okay tim thanks i didnt know how to delete the posts. and i kept on finding new rules and made new posts sorry for that.

    Second i need 2 run 2 more scans correct?

    These two logs are also needed:
    • SASlog.txt log from SuperAntiSpyware.
    • MGlogs.zip - normally it is C:\MGlogs.zip - only attach this log from MGtools.exe DO NOT attach any logs seen in the MGtools folder.

    okay now i have a lote more asistance.

    My computer down stairs and upstairs are both virused. idk how but the one upstarirs is totally miesswed up i can barely do anything. idk if i can even go on the internet.

    the browser looks really weird i click it and it says internet has a problem and closes it. its probably running malware which causes internet to close. ill try to tun all 4 of those things but can someone tell me how to deactivate the malware until i do the programs?
