need some help with koolynoody

    yes hello im new to the board. but i was hoping someone may be able to help me out if possible. at the moment i have 2 anti spyware programs running . i have CA anti-spyware and i have spybot search and destroy , now here is were the problem comes in , i did that immunitize thing with the spybot search and destroy and i scanned my comp with it and nothing came up . O i forgot to mention i also have avira anti virus and i scanned with that aswell and nothing.
    After scanning with both of them i started doing a scan with CA antispyware and it found that virus or whatever it is called koolykoody and it said its a downloader and something about hotkeys. so i quarentined it and i rescanned with CA antispyware and nothing came up so i thought i was good to go. later on i opened spybot and i checked the immunity thing and it showed i had 6 unprotected so i again immunitized everything , then today i scanned again with all 3 and again CA antispyware picked up that koolynoody so again i checked spybot and to my surprise those 6 things were unprotected again so i immunitized em and scanned with CA and again (>_<) it found that koolynoody thing.
    so im just wondering if its a false positive or if i really have that koolynoody because it seems like it may be a false positive since everytime i immunitize with spybot my CA antispyware catches it and if i DONT immunitize those 6 things then it doesnt catch is. so please help me out im really worried :(.

    sorry i cant find the edit button i forgot to mention that when i quarentine that koolynoody ,and i check the things that unimmunitize from spybot search and destroy thers 6 things and ther all from domains .. 1) is from DEFAULT domains thers 2 unprotected ther, then thers 2 unprotected from administrator domain and then the last one , thers also 2 unprotected here aswell thers my name ther with domain next to it. so all 6 things r all from domain. so if i immunitize all 6 of those things back the CA antispyware will find that koolynoody thing again. hope that helps.

    wow sorry i cant seem to find the edit .. cuz i log out and forget something then log back in and i cant edit anymore.. =\ or maybe im not looking in the rite place.

    CA AntiSpyware is having false positive problems. They items it is detecting are things Spybot put into your registry to protect you from access koolynoody related sites. They were added to your Restricted Zone. When you run CA, it is removing the protection. CA is wrong. Don't allow it to remove those entries. This problem has been know for a long time and they have never fixed it. Here is a thread for almost 8 months ago where we already explained this to someone: KoolyNoody Ping Pong

    oh i'm very sorry for bumping and ya i tried to edit and i couldn't that's y i re-posted those other times, also i recently deleted spybot search and destroy because it was interacting with WoW and rite now when i turn my computer on and go on the net CA always says it found 4 viruses and deleted em but i can never see what they are..i run a scan with it a few seconds later and it finds nothing. i don't get it. I'm assuming i really do have spyware of some sort now but maybe its still false positives. i'm not sure but i'm really worried .

    If you're worried that CA may not be giving false positives - it's time to run other detection tools.

    Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    • If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME ) onto another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes, you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
    4. Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.
