Oh NO!! Not AGAIN!!

    Hey guys,

    seems as though something has knocked me out the ball park AGAIN!!:cry:cry

    I currently have comodo installed as my line of defense but whatever this is it seems to have got past it!

    The symptoms, when i do a search in google and i get my results i click on a link and i seem to be redirected somewhere else, eg ebay or blinxx. This happens in ff and ie. I tried yahoo just incase google was under attack and same thing happening there.

    Off i go see if anything has installed itself in control panel, i don't see anything but i decide to remove Internet Lock which was for keeping the kids at bay. Anyway it requires a restart to complete removal, off i go to restart, when i restart suddenly my user account is asking me for a password *** I DON'T HAVE A PASSWORD for my profile!!!** (yes i know i should but...)

    So now i know i definetely have something, i reboot into safe mode and use admin account to try and change password, i setup a new password and bingo i can get back into my account. Once in my account i try and install SUperantispyware, it installs but will not run!! It just says encountered error send to microsoft blah blah..... I try and rename the exe file and reinstall but still won't run. Ok try and move onto mbam and rename but also just won't run!! Ok move onto spybot when installing i gets to the stage where it tries to update but i get an error saying Connectin Could Not be Established with Sever.

    Thats how far i have got to so far and now need help with what to do!!

    I have a very stong suspicion that this has something to do with a vid i was watching on youtube where it said click here to watch the rest of this clip, followed the link and then it downloaded a WMV file, i thought ok cool no issues there, tried to play it in windows media palyer and it says to me i need some codec click here, so i think ok cool a codec needed it will get it automaticaly for me so i click on the error box, it gets the codec for me, try installing it and vid still won't work!! So i decide bugger the vid and that was that, didn't think much of it but after seeing this now, i am 99.99% sure this is where i have got diseased from!!!

    Please follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST link given futher down and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
    READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide
    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:


    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
    Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.
