    I need help getting rid of this. I have followed the malware advise, downloaded the cc cleaner, cleaned my system, I also did what needed doing for the hidden files. BUT.. superantispyware said it was downloaded, its no where to be found on my pc, when trying to go into malwarebytes all windows shut down, it was previously on pc and would not delete from computer. So, at this point I am totally at a loss. Please help.

    Please follow the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST link given futher down and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    • If you have problems where no tools seem to run, please try following the steps given in the below and then continue on no matter what you find. You only need to try the TDSSserv steps if having problems getting scans in the Read & Run Me First.
    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

    Helpful Notes:


    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and Spybot ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. To avoid addtional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advise that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky Don't Bump! It Only Hurts You!!!. Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

    Thanks for the response, this is what happened...
    I went to TDSS serv non-plug and player driver diable, there were no tdsserv.sys or uacd.sys in the non plug and play drivers.
    Under the uninstall malware part, I uninstalled adaware anniver addition, which is the program that told me I had the win32rootkit.tdss, and could not remove it. Note: I found under add and remove a questionable thing, iit said browser address error redirector, should i delete this?
    No other malware programs could i find, other than avira, which also will not delete or run.
    Updating sun java.. saved errorsmart, removed java6update#4 and java6update#7, installed errorsmart, did not need reboot, did not launch program restarted computer due to removal of ad aware uninstall prompt.
    Changed mscong to normal startup, rebooted pc.
    Ran ccleaner which was already on pc.
    Selected view hidden files and show hidden files and folder, unchecked extensions and protected files.
    Step 3 selected windows xp cleaning procedure... Downloaded superantispyware, tried to download malwarebytes but all windows shut down. The pc did not power off. Downloaded combo fix to desktop. Downloaded mgtools in c file.
    Tried to run superantispyware got message, has encountered problem needs to close, renamed to sas.exe. Downloaded, but got error message superspyware application has encountered a problem needs to close.
    Could not run malwarebytes, for reasons stated earlier.
    Closed all windows and took down firewall, avira will not respond , when clicked to open it pops open for 1 sec and closes.
    combofix was double clicked on desktop icon and hit run in pop up window, nothing happened after that, no error no new window, nothing. tried this twice.
    MGtools located getlogsbat finished scan, stated zip file made, located file and now will attach the only two logs I have. I attempted to attach ccleaner file , would not attach. Hope you can help me with this mess. GoodLuck
